I like being the person who takes an idea from a slide to something customers use, and then makes it grow. That has meant wearing different hats over the years (consultant, investor-side operator, founder, product and business lead), mostly in consumer internet and fintech.

Building a hospital chain’s digital ecosystem: Cloudnine Hospitals

With True North, private equity

When almost no healthcare company in India had a real digital presence, I set up Cloudnine’s entire digital ecosystem. Within months of launch, patients could register, book appointments, pay and access their health records in the app. We also built the other side of the marketplace: a Doctor App for managing appointments and schedules, pulling up health records quickly and keeping website profiles current. Underneath it all sat an appointment management system, the engine the rest ran on.

Launching digital MSME lending: Protium Finance

Business, product and operations

I set up the business, product and operations for Protium’s digital loans to small businesses (MSMEs). We went from zero to a launched, end-to-end product in three months, then scaled it.

Founding Dhanaay

I started Dhanaay to make GST filing painless for small business owners, especially e-commerce sellers and restaurant owners. It has since pivoted into an informational platform for small businesses.

  3. ShopSe 2022 – 2023
    Consumer durable loans at the point of sale and payment gateway, with multiple lenders. Stabilised the existing sole-lender relationship and business, led new lender integrations and platform development, and was the single point of contact for lender agreements and relationships.
  4. Protium Finance 2020 – 2022
    Business, product and operations for unsecured digital MSME loans, including the customer app.

    Strategy and execution.
  6. True North private equity 2016 – 2020
    Advised portfolio companies on key initiatives. Built Cloudnine Hospitals’ digital ecosystem, and took a smartphone onboarding app for Fincare’s banking staff (for signing up customers in remote areas) from roadmap to pilot launch.
